I loved driving 350 miles to visit my sons in Houston. With each visit, no matter how simple the instructions, I would get lost.

After numerous years of life happenings, hurricanes of trials, and tribulations weighing me down, I became depleted from the storm of life. Drained mentally and emotionally, I could not find my way, I lost my hope, voice, and dreams.

When stress takes over, we must retreat to advance. The quiet road to the rediscovery of oneself is the fresh start. Take some Me Time. The Lord makes darkness into light in our life Isaiah 42:16 I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, And crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, And not forsake them.

Steal away, ask the Lord to instruct, and teach you in the way you should go and to guide you with his eyes Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye. Where there is torment, the Lord gives peace like a river and direction. Isaiah 66:12 For thus says the Lord: “Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, And the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream. Then you shall feed; On her sides shall you be carried, And be dandled on her knees. He restores our hopelessness to a living hope. 1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. The Lord is an anchor to our soul. Hebrews 6:19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil.

When you lose your identity, and the voice of who you were, the Lord will put forth his hand and touch your mouth, putting his words in your mouth Jeremiah 1:9 Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me: “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. The Lord will do a new thing Isaiah 42:9 Behold, the former things have come to pass, And new things I declare; Before they spring forth I tell you of them.” He restores your soul Psalm 23:3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. He is the joy of your salvation Psalm 51:12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit. He did it for me.
